Joseph's music is a true godsend to us in these very troubled times.
This was the first time for a solo performance after hearing so much about his early days before Lonely Astronauts. Don't get me wrong -- I love to hear his music soar with the raw and edgy fineries of the lovely Lonely Astronauts.
This is so different from anything I've ever seen and when you consider that each and every show is completely starting over again with a blank canvas and a let's see what happens if I try this color on this old mask--reinventing songs from his canon in ways that just make me shake my head and wonder why *someone* is not putting this guy on the cover of friggin' Time magazine for the performer of the year / decade / or century.
There were numerous times lastnight when his music wrapped itself into a little cloud of love- energy that was so powerful I didn't want the song to stop....just let it hang there in the air.
Naturally, I am hoping this gem comes to the download section or is available through the storefront.
I also noticed the cameras that were set up so it might not be too long before there is some YouTubery for it or perhaps even another DVD.
