| me and my girlfriend will be there! I'm very excited about it. I've seen Joseph twice now and both times were incredible. It's an entirely different experience from listening to the cds (even moreso than usual). |

What an amazing show! That was the 3rd time I've seen him and he just keeps getting better and better. It was a 7hr drive (one way) but it was totally worth it!
I was also excited that he actually had some smaller (actual not print) paintings that I could finally afford to buy one ($150 not bad at all) as well as a live show dvd (and I also picked up the color me courageous book).
The best part though was Joseph Arthur actually hungout after the show signing merchandise and talking with everyone. I got my picture taken with him and he was extremely extremely nice. I met my other musical idol Matthew Good and he was a complete jerk and I was scared the same thing would happen here. Not the case at all! Joseph Arthur is just an extremely cool human being. On top of all that our tickets were free because of his facebook contest! I'll probably never see another show as all around fun as that. |

it was def. a great show. I loved that new Moog pedal board thing he had. we were sitting at one of the tables and it would rattle whenever he used it. it was also neat listening to the soundcheck shortly before the show while waiting in line. I've been listening to the show on repeat since Sunday.
if you think about it, many artists who've been around for a few years tend to burn out and/ or get stale. Joe's stuff sounds better now than it ever has. the show totally blew me away like nothing else has ever done and I've been to a few gigs in my life.
glad to hear you bought one of the paintings. I ended up getting a painting as well. I've idolized Joe's art since '04 and it means a lot to own something like this. and it's cool that Joe sells them to his fans directly. it makes it more special or something. I bought the coloring book as well and a couple of shows. granted, I'm living on grilled cheese sandwiches and Little Debbie cakes at the moment, it was totally worth it and I'd gladly do it over again. |

if anyone's in doubt as to which live show to purchase, go for this one. I've heard 3 shows from the east coast tour and think Carrboro is the best. obviously, I am biased but that whole Moog bass pedal board thing was a killer addition to Joe's live sound. if Black Lexus doesn't blow you away, you probably don't have a pulse and should go to the doctor. |
